BC dining table, with cast aluminium alloy legs, a top made from laminated Holoplast panels with a polished mahogany veneer, and two drawers, designed by Ernest Race in 1945 and manufactured by Ernest Race Ltd. in London, 1946.

This table was given to the museum by Lady Marina Vaizey. She acquired it from Hugh and Ruth Dalton, later Lord and Lady Dalton. Hugh Dalton was President of the Board of trade during the Second World War and Chancellor of the Exchequer in the 1945 government.
